An ex-convict finds himself mixed up in a motorcycle gang’s plan to heist a hyperspatial supercomputer.

As the motorcycle attack on the Dataflux computer building turns terrifying and surreal, Harry and Roberta find themselves outgunned by another biker gang belonging to the mysterious billionaire Richard Mullein, who intervenes to protect the top secret navigational equipment for his Cathedral Spaceship.

My first reaction? Bikers???? Ugh no. And yet the writing style, the fleeting glimpses of the downtown’s environment, the descriptions – ah: they kept me going,Author Michael D. Smith certainly made me care about the protagonists and, to a lesser degree, the gang. I definitely didn’t anticipate what was ahead. Ultimately,I found myself wanting to reach past the last page and into a new chapter. While brief, this novella is a breezily engaging read and a great introduction to a new author.
